The Accent is a newly developed coating plate with outstanding printing properties in the fields of packaging and commercial printing. The simple, in-house imaging and manufacture of coating plates in offset print shops is considered to be the best in the world.
This innovative coating plate for offset printing was made possible by the unique assembly of the new coating plate and the availability of platesetting systems that work at 405 nm with industrial high-performance UV lasers. Our XPose! and MultiDX! systems that until now were used for the imaging of offset plates, can also image the Accent coating plate from MacDermid. The plate is afterwards washed off with water in an environmentally friendly manner. With an additional investment in plate processing, the Accent plate can be manufactured in-house. The therefore required equipment can be obtained through us.
The new plate increases flexibility in the production of printed matter. Total operational costs will be reduced by manufacturing the coating plate in-house. This also increases the competitiveness, level of service and reaction speed of printing companies. In addition, the coating can lend a special accent to areas of the printed product. There is no doubt that the potential offered by the in-house production of coating plates improves the creativity of printing companies. The focus can now be transferred to print enhancement.
