Screen printing stencils produced with the new direct laser imaging system offer a revolutionary improvement in screen printing quality. This technology also greatly expands the range of demanding industrial and graphic applications that screen printing is suitable for.

The running production costs for textile and screen stencils are greatly reduced as a result of the very long life and extremely high power output of the blue laser diodes. This improves the viability of the screen printing process compared with other competing digital printing processes. In addition, direct laser imaging also improves stencil quality in terms of the edge sharpness of the exposed printing forme, the printable image resolution and in particular the mechanical and chemical resistance during the print run.

Besides the ability of the customer to freely choose between imaging resolutions from 300 x 600 dpi up to 1200 x 2400 dpi, virtually all 'normally sensitized' photographic emulsions, including well-known capillary film systems, can be optimally and fully exposed from the print to the squeegee side without faults and at the highest imaging speed. With the Lüscher direct blue laser it makes no difference whether a white, a stainless steel or a coloured, anti-undercutting stencil fabric is used. The outstanding curing of the photographic emulsion also ensures very high mechanical, abrasion, water and solvent resistance for the resulting stencils.

Depending upon the desired imaging speed, Lüscher supplies the JetScreen DX with 32, 64, 96 or 128 laser diodes.

The Lüscher Laser JetScreen DX is also available in all current external frame formats from 500 x 500 mm up to a maximum frame format of 3800 x 8000 mm.
